Dec
I’ve been taking a break the past 2 days, mainly cooking for our 2nd housewarming party (because my small apartment can only accomodate 2 guests at a time, so I had to split my housewarming into 2 separate dinners for my 2 best friends and their mates), as well helping my best friend move apartments yesterday and today.
Come tomorrow, I will start work on revamping the blog, work on the piano spa site while continuing to send out resumes. I will be in Hong Kong from the 22nd to 26th of December to get a new Visa for another 3 months in Shanghai. Just in time to spend Christmas with my Hong Kong relatives as well.
Alot of people are surprised that I am having difficulty in getting a job here, given my skills and qualifications. Unfortunately, it IS NOT easy. I am being slightly picky at the same time, because I want to make sure I am applying for a position that I will be happy doing, and will be doing for awhile while at the same time allows me to be a vital asset to the firm, also to my career development.
Yes, having a work permit to stay, and a stable income is very important right now. But the last thing I want to happen is for myself to become a SLAVE to a company which I can’t wait to get out of.
In the meantime, as long as I work hard enough, I should be able to gather enough money to feed myself and pay for the rent. At least, hopefully. Perks of having 2 creative production skillsets in 2 different media industries.
On to the feature.

My latest work, website for Songcraft Songwriting Circle. Songcraft are a passionate group of songwriting enthusiasts based in Singapore, who currently have a total of 99 members. The members come from all walks of life and have regular events where they gather and share/showcase their songs.
I was asked by one of their members to design and develop their website. What I had in mind was something light and clean, nothing very design-fancy because I wanted them to have a official look, but without the stern subtleties. That being said, it had to have a hip touch. The last thing I want their image to bear is some cultish group nor some old folks tea party group.
Anyways, this is the final product, built with simply some Flash, HTML and extensive use of CSS.
