Fred @ Shanghai Called my mum a couple weeks back and asked her how she cooked her stew meat. I was craving it really badly, and was very very pleased to be able to replicate at least 80% of what she used to make for me. This is my 2nd attempt, and the main course of my lunch and dinner for the past 2 days, and 2 more days. :) The great thing about eating this over a period of time here is:

1: The weather is basically near freeze point, so there’s no need to refrigerate anything.
2: This is a dish that gets tastier and more flavorful the more times you reheat it. :)

    Oh .. on the top right is a fiber rich piece of japanese simmered daikon :P
    I finally bought a pair of gloves in hongkong! hahahah… along with a ton of other clothes. Love hongkong~ seriously, no place like it.
