Freds Furofuki Daikon I had meant to post a whole pictorial on today, 27th Jan 2008. Why? Because this morning, it started snowing heavily in Shanghai!! I received a sms from Austin to check outside the window, because it hasn’t snowed like this for over 10 years in Shanghai! What a blessing to see snow! Needless to say, I rushed out to the balcony, regardless of the temperature in just my PJs, and starting taking photos and videos like crazy! It’s gonna take a little while to sort out the photos. For now, I will talk about my lunch! Furofuki Daikon with Udon and some sides! Furofuki Daikon is a traditional japanese simmered radish dish (er..) best had in cold weather.

Freds Furofuki Daikon Because just one piece of daikon wasn’t going satisfy me enough, I decided to have it with Udon, some mushrooms which I stir fried a couple of days ago and 2 pan fried dumplings. The result was a truly cozy and heart warming meal. I decided to have another single piece coz I was really hungry. Enjoy the photos! :P
