With the launch of the new blog design, I’ve uploaded 2 songs to the music site, which you will hear in the mp3 player at the blog as well, since the players are linked to the same database.
I realized I need to re-design the music site at some point. While it looks like a nice package, it is seriously lacking in many features and logic for the end-user. Right now, it will serve ok as a music warehouse. But if I want to move further with it, I really need to tweak the design a little.
美好 (Mei Hao) is an ambitious song by me, written with the guitar and also features me playing very crappily and out-of-time on the guitar. The song is a hope-bringing, heart-warming track telling us to look at the beauty of life around us.
Rage of the Dragon is easily the champ for cheeziest song title of the year, but that was the closest that I could get for an english translation of a chinesey track. It is actually one of the three songs that resulted in me developing my career in Shanghai. Written and arranged within only a matter of days, out of nothing at all, I produced this vocal-less/melody-less track, meant to have a melody written over it at a later time. Feel free to have fun with it. The song is heavily Jay Chou inspired, especially from the Initial D theme song. If you are a music person, you will probably recognize the synth hook playing in the back which resembles the hook in the Initial D theme song (by Jay Chou).
More updates will be coming very rapidly. I want to see more movement in my web traffic!
Check out the song at Fred Lin Music!
